Graduate Interview

How did you find out about TPOM?

I first heard about TPOM from someone I grew up with who was already in the program. She had an incredible experience and said TPOM really helped her turn her life around. I knew I wasn’t going to make parole unless I had a solid plan, and something deep in my heart told me TPOM was going to be my best bet.

The moment I arrived, I felt an immediate sense of calm. Everything felt right. I was welcomed with open arms, and honestly, I didn’t expect that. I was used to being treated like just another number—a felon who wasn’t going to make it. But here, it was different. From day one, I was treated with respect and positivity. For the first time, I felt seen. I wasn’t just a number anymore—I was human.

Has TPOM been your “best bet”?

Absolutely, and more than I ever imagined. Within my first few months, I joined the Tennessee Titans Training Program and graduated as one of the top students. My peers even voted for me to give a speech at graduation. It was a huge confidence boost—my first-ever speech! Since then, I’ve had so many “firsts.”

Now, I’m training in the locksmithing trade, a skill that’s always in demand. People will always need locks and doors, so this is something I can take anywhere. Through TPOM, I got an interview with a locksmithing company and secured the position. Every success I’ve had connects back to TPOM. Their resources, support, and belief in me have been life-changing. I’ve achieved more here than I ever thought possible.
